Porsche Dominates 24 Hours of Daytona

Porsche has started 2025 as it ended 2024, dominating endurance races. In the first major event of the year, the 24 Hours of Daytona, the two official 963s finished on the podium. The #7 car, driven by Felipe Nasr, Nick Tandy, and Laurens Vanthoor, showcased exceptional speed and secured victory. The Acura #60 overtook the other 963 from Penske, the #6, in the final moments, preventing a one-two finish for Porsche. The team of Alex Palou, with another Acura, the #93, finished eighth after losing time in the garage due to suspension issues. In the GTD category, the Ford Mustang #65, driven by Dennis Olsen, Christopher Mies, and Frederic Vervisch, achieved its first victory in IMSA, outperforming the Corvette #3 of Juncadella and García. The Ferrari of Molina and Albert Costa finished sixth, while the Aston of Riberas retired.
